Bean Recipe

2 ½ cups Beans (pinto or other)

Then add the remaining ingredients:

¼ cup Green Pepper, finely chopped, 2 small Onions, finely chopped, 8-10 cloves Garlic, minced, 1 teaspoon Oregano, 1 teaspoon Summer Savory, ½ teaspoon dried Jalapeno or 1 fresh Jalapeno, seeds removed and chopped, 1/8 teaspoon each: Red Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, and Black Pepper, Dash of Tabasco, 1 tablespoon Chili Powder, 1 teaspoon Salt,


Directions

Rinse well, place in stock pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, then turn off the heat and let them stand/soak for at least 1 hour or more. Drain the water from the beans and then fill the pot with fresh water about 2 inches above the beans.

Cook till beans are tender; then add 1 14 ounce can diced Tomatoes, continue cooking until the beans are very tender.
