Pineapple Squares
1 ½ cup granulated Sugar, ½ teaspoon Salt, 2 cups Flour, 1 medium size can Crushed Pineapple, 1 teaspoon Baking Soda, 2 Eggs, ½ cup Shortening,
Icing:
1 ½ cup sugar, 1 stick Margarine or Butter, 1 small can Evaporated Milk 1 cup chopped Pecans, 1 cup Coconut, 1 teaspoon Vanilla,
Directions
Mix in order given. Mix with a spoon and pour into a greased and floured9 X 13 inch pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 350*.
Icing should be ready to pour when the cake is done. Boil 4 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of chopped pecans, 1 cup of coconut, 1 teaspoon vanilla.
